Program Overview

Mokpo National University offers a Korean Language Program designed to provide international students and overseas Koreans with an opportunity for in-depth study of the Korean language and culture. This program is specifically structured to enhance Korean language proficiency, foster a profound understanding of Korean society and culture, and support students in their academic or professional pursuits within Korea.

한국어 프로그램

기초부터 고급까지 총 4단계로 운영하고 있으며, 신입생은 기초반 배정을 원칙으로 하되, 상급반은 배치고사 후에 수준에 맞는 반으로 배정된다.

연 4회 학기제 운영

수업은 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울의 연 4회 학기제로 운영되어, 학습자는 본인의 출발 시점에 맞춰 자유롭게 지원할 수 있다.

통합 언어교육

듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기 능력을 균형 있게 발전시키며, 문화체험·발표·프로젝트 활동을 통해 실생활 중심의 의사소통 능력을 향상시킨다.

문화체험 및 자기주도형
자율학습 프로그램

한복 체험, 전통음식 만들기, 지역 명소 탐방 등 다양한 문화 활동과 함께, 정규 수업 외에도 학생 주도형 자율학습 시간(Self-study hours)을 통해 학습자 개인별 학습 역량과 속도에 맞춰 한국어 실력을 꾸준히 향상시킬 수 있다.

TOPIK(한국어능력시험)
공식 시험장

국립목포대학교는 TOPIK(한국어능력시험) 공식 시행기관으로 지정되어 있어, 어학연수생은 익숙한 교내 환경에서 편리하게 시험을 응시할 수 있다.

한국 대학 진학 및 취업 연계

본 과정을 수료하면 국립목포대학교 학부 또는 대학원 진학 시 한국어 능력 요건을 충족할 수 있으며, 지역 산업체 및 공공기관과의 연계를 통해 취업 및 진로 탐색의 기회도 얻을 수 있다.

Key Features

Systematic 4-Level Korean Language Curriculum

The program consists of four levels, from Beginner to Advanced. While new students are generally placed in the Beginner level, those wishing to enter higher levels will be assigned to a class suited to their proficiency based on a placement test.

Quarterly Academic Calendar (4 Terms per Year)

Classes operate on a four-term system (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter), allowing learners the flexibility to apply at a time that best fits their personal schedule.

Integrated Language Education

The curriculum balances listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. It is designed to enhance real-life communication abilities through cultural experiences, presentations, and project-based activities.

Cultural Immersion & Self-Directed Learning Programs

In addition to regular classes, students can participate in various cultural activities—such as wearing Hanbok, cooking traditional food, and visiting local landmarks. Self-study hours are also provided to help learners improve their Korean skills at their own pace and capability.

Official TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) Testing Center

As an official TOPIK testing center, MNU offers students unparalleled accessibility and a familiar environment for their language proficiency exams.

수업 운영

형태: 연 4회 학기제(봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울)
기간: 학기당 10주 과정
수업 시간: 주 5일(월 ~ 금), 1일 4시간 / 주당 20시간, 총 200시간
레벨: 기초, 초급, 중급, 고급 1~4단계 수준별 반편성
평가: 출석, 중간·기말시험, 과제, 발표 등
배치고사: 입학 전 한국어 수준을 진단힉 위한 레벨 테스트가 실시됨

Course Curriculum

Academic System: 4-term system per year (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
Term: 10 weeks per term
Instructional Hours: 5 days a week (Mon–Fri), 4 hours per day
- Total: 20 hours per week / 200 hours per term
Levels: Levels 1–4 (Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced)
Assessment: Attendance, Midterm/Final Exams, Assignments, Presentations, etc.
Placement Test: A language proficiency test is conducted before enrollment to determine the appropriate level for each student.
